Ice cream, please?

Task #1: ask a stranger to buy you an ice cream
We all get ice cream!

The lady was nice enough to offer all of us ice cream.

Counting the passengers to earn the right to blow the boat's horn.

My maid of honor got married a few months ago, and so a few weeks before her civil wedding her girlfriends planned a bachelorette party for her.  Swiss bachelorette parties are a bit different than american bachelorette parties.  Instead of going out for a night on the town dancing, the swiss versions typically start during the day time, when the bride-to-be has tasks given to her by her girl friends.  I've seen brides in the Saturday morning market selling scones and candy to raise money for their honeymoons.  I've also seen brides dressed in costume.  Since my maid of honor happened to also be 6 months pregnant, she got out easy, and we took her on a cruise around Lake Geneva.  She was given a few tasks... she had to ask a stranger to buy her ice cream and she had to ask the captain of the boat if she could blow the boat whistle.  And she achieved both!!  The captain actually let us up onto the bridge, but before my maid of honor could blow the horn (which was actually a little button), she had to do some work....counting the passengers getting off and on the boat. It was a magnificent day to be floating on the lake followed by dinner in Montreux.
